This ASPE presentation will introduce Code Approved DWV Single Stack Systems that have been used and are being used even more today in the US, Canada and Worldwide. It requires a Plumbing Engineer’s design submitted to local Plumbing codes for approval. This presentation will demonstrate how most of these systems operate as a “combination waste & vent system”. They are very similar to the approved one listed in the International Plumbing Code only with the assistance of two specially designed DWV vented fittings. All the rules of installation will be presented using colorful graphic details. ASPE Members will learn how to properly design a 10 story Hi-Rise hotel with conventional plumbing on the first and second floors using isomeric CAD drawings, using the single stack collection area on the third floor with offsets on the fifth floor plus typical back to back layouts on all the other floors. All the technical rules of single stack installations will be discussed and reviewed during this presentation and how amazing the comparison is to the single stack system and the IPC code approved conventional DWV system.
